I KNOW

15 Oct

I know.

So my tweet regarding a (hopefully) 10-day juice cleanse sparked a bit of curiosity from many! What am I doing, why am I doing it. There’s always the “THOSE ARE TERRIBLE FOR YOU” people, you know, the ones that have never done it but some TV doctor said they were terrible. I dunno. Here’s my take and reasoning…

It’s not something I should have even tweeted about. It’s honestly not something I push and advocate for, nor do I want to lose all credibility as someone who LOVES food. Trust me, I already got the, “you write a food blog and you don’t even eat” shit.

Would I EVER do a 10-day juice cleanse if I didn’t have to be in a bikini…sometimes only half a bikini….in highly circulated magazines? Holy shit, NO. I love my body. Well, I love my in-clothes body. Loving your bikini bod is a whole other ball game. And getting in a bikini when you just completed 3 weeks of not just eating but FEASTING every single day is a little daunting to say the least.

Now, I LOVE CURVES. I’ve said it before and I will say it for the rest of time. But that, unfortunately, isn’t how my body operates. Weight that I put on from loving food doesn’t distribute into the Kardashian-like teenie waist and bodacious ass. Chrissy’s version of curvy results in TSA agents patting me down and saying, “Ooo!” as if I’m about 4 months along. It’s just a…poof in my belly. Skinny legs. Skinny (untoned) arms. And a poof in the belly.

My belief is that this results from 2 things. One — not working out enough, plain and simple. Two — being on a low carb diet means you know cheese and fat is a-okay,  therefore you eat a shit ton of fat and dairy and I 100% believe that dairy goes straight to the waistline.

So that’s all. I am juicing to rid myself of that cheese-weight in the middle. To get rid of that feeling of overall “blah” in the midsection. Am I doing it to slim that area down? Fuck yeah. Anyone who says they are juicing “to rid the body of toxins” is either a fucking liar or they love raw veg juice to levels that I don’t really care to understand.

I don’t think I’m fat. I know I’m not. But I do know I feel gross and my body could use some real, raw nourishment. And since I am just an all-or-nothing kind of gal, this is what I’ve picked. A 10-day BluePrint moderate cleanse. It consists of 3 green juices a day, 1 spicy lemonade, 1 pineapple, and one delicious cashew milk drink. 6 juices a day. You can read more about it here.

I remember when I was living in a model’s apartment in South Beach. It was a two-bedroom that my old agency had packed 5 girls in. I actually was in the early days of dating John and can still remember us trying to make out on my little twin bed in a room with white walls, one plastic red lamp and those plastic vertical blinds that clank together when you so much as breathed on them. Anyhow, one of the other girls had told me about the “master cleanse” which I’m sure you’ve heard of — that one is literally ONLY DRINKING ONE KIND OF DRINK FOR A WEEK. A mixture of water, maple syrup and cayenne. I used to make mine SO extra spicy so my belly would forget to send me hunger signals. It was a really, really terrible thing to do. I did it for Miami’s swim fashion week, it did the job, but wow, the weight came back quickly and angrily within DAYS after I stopped.

The Blueprint cleanse is great because it provides all-around nourishment. You are consuming around 20 pounds of fruits and vegetables (well however much juice that would make at least) every single day.

Am I getting paid for this? No. Not even a discount. Do I know what I am doing? Not at all. They send the juice. I drink the juice. I feel pretty damn good aside from just missing chewing something. I just drink the juice to halt what I’ve been doing to my body for the past few months. (Get. Out. Of. Me.). But I will try and keep you in the loop (here, NOT TWITTER. people who tweet about cleanses are assholes yes I am an asshole) IFFFF you care.

I know we all have different beliefs about this crap so I refuse, REFUSE to push this on you. And I hope you can do the same for me if you completely disagree with what I’m doing. I’m doing it. Damn my love of food and career choice. Oil and water. Don’t hate me. Don’t hate me.

And if you’re wondering, yep, I am trying to work out on it too.

I should put a food countdown clock on this blog…think I’ll work on that now. I tried to plan my Thanksgiving menu (GO GET BON APPETIT AND FOOD NETWORK MAGAZINE RIGHT NOW FOR THANKSGIVING ISSUES) but duh, it’s a little hard to read about my favorite holiday during these…these trying times.

Thank you for not hating me. And thank you for even reading this! Thank you for reading this entire freaking blog. I am actually glad I wrote about it now — now I REALLY need to stick with it. Pressssure!! Love you guys.

xx

(PS: Am I drinking wine? Yes. Am I maybe gonna mix the spicy lemonade with a bit of vodka on a Friday night? Yep. Is this the healthiest? Nope. Do they advise against it? Uh huh. Am I gonna do it? Yep.)

Cheers to you! Love this post, the fact you can eat, and know when it’s time to clean house!

  4. coco October 15, 2012 at 6:16 pm #

you are un-hateable! its hard enough being a regular girl, loving food (hubby is a chef) and trying to feel nice in a bikini. I can’t imagine how hard it would be when its your job! juice on, friend. xx

  5. Denise Miller (@IrieDame) October 15, 2012 at 6:16 pm #

Just be you Chrissy. A lifetime supporter, may not agree with you on everything but who does. Just keep being your authentic self!

  6. Michelle October 15, 2012 at 6:16 pm #

Chrissy, we’re all fans. We love you and we want you to be happy. If that involves a juice cleanse, then be the skinniest snarkiest juiciest woman you can be… we still love you.

  7. Josh October 15, 2012 at 6:17 pm #

Please write an autobiography one day Chrissy. You are so bloody funny, crazy, weird, interesting (I could go on and on). I love reading your blog posts and your take on life. Keep it up! :-)

  8. Traci October 15, 2012 at 6:17 pm #

Thanks for being so freaking awesome and real!!

  9. hopefulandhungry October 15, 2012 at 6:17 pm #

It’s great to read something so honest from a beautiful model like yourself.

  10. Jenny V October 15, 2012 at 6:17 pm #

I think its great that you are trying to do something healthy for yourself! I think a lot of us were curious because we are also food lovers yet everyone no matter what they say wants to look good and who better to hear a personal circumstance from than a swim suit model! I cant imagine having the self control to do this so good luck! :) you’ll have to let us know if it makes an actual difference!

  11. Dee October 15, 2012 at 6:21 pm #

I’m a big fan of yours Chrissy and even though you owe nobody any explanations for what you do to your body, thank you for sharing with us. I honestly need to do something like this myself, and I’m not a model, and no, I do not hate my body, I just feel weighed down and have been cooking a lot = eating a lot. Keep us updated and keep doing you!

  12. Danielle October 15, 2012 at 6:21 pm #

Chrissy – after the juice cleanse – look into Paleo. I went through the same issues- low carb but still loading up with cheese, and dairy in general. Paleo is essentially meat, veggies, fruit & nuts. Personally – I love to still be able to eat bacon and steak, and be very lean. It might not work for you, but it’s definitely worth looking into I think b/c it’s a sustainable way to live. (and still get in a cheat meal every now and then!)

  13. jj October 15, 2012 at 6:23 pm #

I did blueprint cleanse awhile back and it was AWESOME! I’m do juice cleanses all the time, at least every season change. juice fasting will loosen stored up toxins and since you aren’t elminating after around day 3/4 I would highly suggest a colonic at the end if the fast. they are so necessary! Gravity East in the east village is great.

  14. fallenforfashion October 15, 2012 at 6:23 pm #

You are absolutely gorgeous, smart and above all hilarious. I love that you’re so candid. I’m totally trying this juice thing out.
P.s. I could never hate you.

  15. Rob October 15, 2012 at 6:24 pm #

I’m genuinely curious about these cleanses, so appreciate your candor in writing this post.

Looking forward to reading about the results and your thoughts on the whole thing.

  16. rk October 15, 2012 at 6:31 pm #

i personally love the honesty what i find frustrating is girls lying saying they eat cheeseburgers all day long and still look great in a bikini
it’s nice to know that you have to work for it and make some sacrifices
    thanks for the blog post
and i’ll tell you what’s unhealthy eating too much not just physically but mentally
i would know ever since I’ve gained weight my life and the people in it have been completely different
trust me no one hates you they might be just jealous!

  17. DK October 15, 2012 at 6:31 pm #

Hey Chrissy, I’m sorry for all the people who judged you like that… And I think it’s great that you’re able to defend yourself and not put those people down at the same time. Anyways, I love reading through your explanations about anything and everything–keep on writing! It’s truly a gift that not a lot of people have!

  18. Devin October 15, 2012 at 6:34 pm #

Good luck Chrissy! Thanks for the explanation and I can’t wait to see what you eat for your first real meal! (please no hot-pockets) haha

  19. Nikki October 15, 2012 at 6:37 pm #

I think it is totally fine to love love love food and understand that you have to scale it back sometimes. I’m not a model, but I totally get it. I don’t think anybody who reads this would accuse you of having an eating disorder. Its work and its shitty, but on the other side there will still be great food to cook and eat. Good luck!

  20. Heather October 15, 2012 at 6:38 pm #

I do a Blueprint Cleanse before every vacation I go on and it works wonders, I have only done a 3 days cleanse and wanted to eat solid food so bad after three days so I cannot imagine 10 days. Definitely keep us updated on how the 10 days go, I wont judge, I have my wedding coming up in December in Jamaica and I was going to do one before I left but maybe I could do longer than 3 days depending on how it goes for you :)

  21. Sonja October 15, 2012 at 6:42 pm #

I can’t wait to hear how/if it works! Please keep us abreast on your progress….feel free to post pics ;) You are seriously an inspiration, thank you.

P.s. I get my fill of Chrissy from your blog, not twitter. Twitter is for those scary people from team breezy.

  22. April Larabee October 15, 2012 at 6:42 pm #

F*ck the haters :) just keep doin’ what you do so well…

  23. Kristen October 15, 2012 at 6:46 pm #

Good luck, Chrissy! Be careful working out – I think it’s okay to take it easy during these 10 days – you won’t have very much energy. Would actually love to see a brief recap each day of how you feel – I know some days can be easier than others, but I’m curious to see when the good, healthy feeling hits. PS – Your new banner is adorable!

  24. Donca October 15, 2012 at 6:50 pm #

I am very interested in hearing daily recaps on how it is going. I have done juicing until dinner but never a multi day juice fast. I love the blue print juices though and buy them all the time. Did you last for the entire master cleanse?

  25. Lauren (@PBpowered) October 15, 2012 at 6:54 pm #

    Love this post! So real!

  26. Chrissie October 15, 2012 at 6:55 pm #

stay strong! 10 days is a lot.. i did it for 5 and it was rough but i made it. I wrote a similar blog (though not as amusing as yours a few years ago on BPC) http://onegillianreasons.blogspot.com/2009/05/reason-46-guest-post-blueprint-cleanse.html

    -the other east village chrissie

  27. Ava October 15, 2012 at 7:00 pm #

You definitely can’t open the Bon Appetit or Food Network magazines while you are fasting. Hide them away and don’t look at them until you have enjoyed a solid meal again.
I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

  28. Sar October 15, 2012 at 7:03 pm #

I have the exact same weight distribution issue! People get annoye if I try to eat lighter. I just don’t want people to wonder why that pregnant chick is drinking so much vodka.

  29. Sidney October 15, 2012 at 7:07 pm #

Thanks for your honest explanation of your juice cleanse which was totally not necessary but very much appreciated by readers like me. It’s so refreshing to know that you are just a normal girl who deals with anxiety over her bikini bod just like the rest of us. Good luck with your cleanse and your upcoming shoot!

  30. cwebbie October 15, 2012 at 7:13 pm #

I’ve done the 3 day Blueprint cleanse and minus the green drink, it was awesome. I wasn’t hungry (though I missed chewing) and I felt so good after it was done – my skin looked like butter and I felt really lucid. The only downside was I didn’t lose weigh… But I also mixed tequila with the pineapple & mint juice. Whatever! The shit was amazing. Either way, you will feel amazing when it’s over.

  31. lauracvaughn October 15, 2012 at 7:25 pm #

You would be ten thousand times more annoying if you acted (like most famous people) like you just had good genes and sat around and ate cake all day and still managed to look good! I appreciate the honesty. I mean, I’ve even done the Master Cleanse (vomit) and I am not even professionally good looking…

  32. Jasmine October 15, 2012 at 7:51 pm #

    I think you’re amazing!!!!!
    Love,

Fellow food lover (who also cannot gain weight)

  33. jenhencooks October 15, 2012 at 7:57 pm #

While I’ve been told that cleanses that are more than three days can do damage to the liver (that comes from my best friend who’s an emergency room nurse), I can only imagine the pressure of having to be in top shape and appearance for a photo shoot as a professional model, so I don’t think anyone can blame you for doing this. Your post is clear and thoughtful, and I have to think any displeasure expressed at your news is mostly out of concern for you.

  34. Michael Wagner October 15, 2012 at 8:02 pm #

Thanks for the honesty. As a single father of a now-grown daughter and having dipped a toe in the dating pool from time to time,I have seen the body-issue problems women face.Cleanse away.BTW,love the blog.

  35. beautypaletteblog October 15, 2012 at 8:05 pm #

Whatever. You don’t show up and people’s homes demanding why they are eating XYZ for dinner so why should they get all riled up about something you’re doing for yourself?? People need to worry about their own bodies before they start attacking other people. I personally feel like a cleanse is a great way to to de-bloat, so I totally feel ya…but I’ve never attempted a 10 day – good luck!!

  36. bbmaggee October 15, 2012 at 8:09 pm #

Gurlllll I love you so much! Thank you for being so honest. I have heard of this cleanse and was actually very curious about it and will be very interested to read your straight talk on it. I’m most curious about the “slow reintroduction of solid foods” they recommend after you’ve finished (that’s the only thing that scared me a bit about it). Please make sure to write about that :)

Also like many other commenters have said.. Write a book already! I’d read the shit out of it.

    Toodles

you are genuinely an amazing person. you’re such a great role model without even trying to be, open, honest and above all else hilarious. i love you, i really do :)

  39. Kristin Smith October 15, 2012 at 8:20 pm #

People are always going to have something to say. You’re doing what works for you for your job and you’re not ashamed. There a lot of other models that do a lot worse. I’m certain you’ll finish your cleanse and get right back to eating.

  40. Sandra Cain October 15, 2012 at 8:27 pm #

I basically starve myself just show I can go hog wild on thanksgiving. Is it healthy, no! But since when do we always do things that are only healthy to our bodies! Good luck on your diet. Now I wanna try it, come November…

  41. Rheannon October 15, 2012 at 8:32 pm #

    Thank you!!! Your the best;)

  42. Pete c. October 15, 2012 at 8:34 pm #

Chrissy, you know the cool thing about following you is that I never know what you will be telling us on any given day. Thanks for being you.

  43. stslusher October 15, 2012 at 8:49 pm #

At least you are honest! I would rather read this beautifully written truthful post than twitter feeds that you were scarfing bacon 24/7 and still bikini ready. As a mother of 2 kids…still struggling with that last ten pounds, your honesty is admirable. Good luck with the juice cleanse and I love your blog!

  44. Amber October 15, 2012 at 8:50 pm #

I say do you and eff everybody else! No explanation needed :)

  45. Marlee October 15, 2012 at 8:53 pm #

Dammit Chrissy, I love you. I thought I did before but you keep reassuring me that your the best friend I haven’t made yet. I myself am laying my my couch rather inebriated from wine, thus having the courage to write this comment. I read your blog, follow you on twitter and Instagram and love to catch any and every article I run across that mentions you at all. I just find you so real and amazing and not afraid to speak your mind and hey, if I had your life I would be the same way. I was about to say something like “Not saying I’m shy or anything…” but then I realized that I never comment as much as I want to on your stuff for fear of being “just a fan” because I think I’m more than that. Is that sad? Maybe. Probably. But I’m sure we’d be friends if the universe aligned differently. Needless to say I’ll tell my boyfriend I gushed my lesbi crush to you on your blog (who I talk to about all your stuff all the time, probably knows way more about your personal life than most guys who aren’t just admirers of your career choice hah) and he’ll tell me not to drink alone again but it was bound to happen. Overall, I love you and so many other people out there do to. Thanks for giving us all something to look forward to reading after work. So yeah, I’m a super fan. Proud of it, bitch. Gotta pee, byeee.

  46. Lauren October 15, 2012 at 8:55 pm #

I love that you posted this because I have been interested in cleanses – but I’m too afraid that I’ll poop myself at work. Do you have bathroom issues on the cleanse???? I’m thinking about a 3 day to get myself started.

Food Network magazine came in the mail today….dead.

  47. manie October 15, 2012 at 9:17 pm #

Can you do a review after the cleanse is over – like how well it worked and what your energy levels were like? I was really interested in the blueprint one – just cause I feel gross all the time – and would like to know. thanks!

  48. Bee October 15, 2012 at 9:18 pm #

    Hi Chrissy,

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a low-carb diet post. I’m thinking about starting a low-carb diet inspired by you. I would really appreciate it if you could please describe in detail what you eat as meals and snacks while you are low-carb (is fruit ok? do you recommend avoiding diary). Also why is low-carb your diet philosophy? What would you look like if you ate all the carbs you wanted? How has it changed your body? Now of course I can do all the research I want on this online but I would appreciate your honest and snarky input.

    • Bee October 15, 2012 at 9:24 pm #

I won’t be starting this low-carb diet till January so don’t feel rushed to write this post (if you even care, lol) Why am I starting in Jan? definitely not a new year’s resolution, no. I’m a broke college student and I don’t have the budget to refurbish my carb filled pantry and fridge.

  49. On life and stuff October 15, 2012 at 9:48 pm #

I did the master cleanse for 9 days once. i did it for weight loss but i actually had lots of energy on it. but yes, the weight comes RIGHT back. but damn your stomach is sooooo flat on a cleanse. good luck love!

  53. graceseabe October 15, 2012 at 10:32 pm #

So does it really get you a flat tummy???

  55. Corisa October 15, 2012 at 11:50 pm #

I love how true you are being about sharing the little insecurities that I know I have the same problems with! I am such a foodie and actually went to culinary school too and gain all the weight right in my abdominal area and I hate it more than ANYTHING. It’s inspiring to hear your story and realize I’m not the only one who feels the same way about something like this ! Thank you! =)

  56. saltedzest October 16, 2012 at 12:11 am #

Aww some people are very happy to jump to their own reality and pass judgement. If anyone truly reads your blog they KNOW you love food. I completely get why you need to do this. And that feeling of just having indulged way too much. Best of luck and we here on the site will be waiting!

  57. Mari Arana (@SleepingLady13) October 16, 2012 at 12:26 am #

I can’t wait to read how this goes for a food lover such as myself because I NEED to do this but I don’t know if I can! I have willpower but I LOVE food! Lots of luck to you & hey if the juicers give you a “promotional discount” then don’t forget to pass it along…juicing is expensive!

  58. Meg October 16, 2012 at 12:46 am #

Oh Chrissy…. I LOVE you! F**k the haters, do your thing. You’re honest, and that’s all that anyone can ask for. I am looking forward to hearing how things go on the juice – I have always been interested but have never tried, and as a food lover myself, I am curious to hear your thoughts and how you feel.

Oh and yeah, don’t read the mags until you’re done. That’s just torture.

    • Meg October 16, 2012 at 1:01 am #

Replying to my own message but which Blueprint Cleanse are you doing? I only see 6-day cleanses on the website….

  59. zeh October 16, 2012 at 4:46 am #

I never post but .. good luck with your cleanse… we are none of us “this” or “that” but always “this and that”. You can love food and fast….

  60. Mawla October 16, 2012 at 4:48 am #

You are completely honest Chrissie, that’s why so many people love your writing. It’s so much more helpful than actresses and models who pretend that it’s all effortless. I am for the most part happy with my body in clothes too but I know the panic that sets in before a beach holiday when you think about hanging out in not many clothes all day in public. I can only imagine the panic if it’s your job to wear a bikini and you will be in photos seen by millions!

  61. itsmarky October 16, 2012 at 7:30 am #

Best comments on the drink cleanses I have seen good luck!! Am trying the soup and fruit diet for 1-2 days a week all you have in a day is a bowl of soup and fruit seems bearable as you can eat normally for rest of week. Not sure if the people who dreamed up the diet understood what normal is for me but I’ll give it a go and if anyones interested and I remember I will let you know how it goes. I think the dairy think is interesting, basically we are omnivores, like bears etc, not a lot of other omnivores eat dairy, well not other than hoof and all so maybe its not really designed for us, which is a real pain as I love cheese.

  62. Caterina October 16, 2012 at 7:39 am #

You rock for days!!! I am on twitter and follow you And I gotta say the negative responses are ridiculous. Who has time to think and then write negative? Oh right, losers do. It’s not as if you are binging and purging (and God bless the poor souls cursed with that) but really. Juice cleanses have been around and I work in the healthcare field and have never heard a DR say one is bad, as LONG as you follow a system, uh like you’re doing. Good luck with the cleanse and now I’m interested in the green machine! :) ps. Your posts make my day!

  63. Betsy October 16, 2012 at 7:43 am #

Well as long as you still get to drink wine.. :) sounds good to me! Good luck on your shoot!!

  64. Leah October 16, 2012 at 9:08 am #

I love the Blueprint Cleanse. I do it to reset my eating habits when I feel like I’m getting carried away and I don’t lose as much weight as people would think. You are still getting over 1000 calories per day whereas the Master Cleanse gives you around 300. Good for you for being honest. Drink a ton of water and keep us posted!!! I actually read recipes constantly dreaming of my next meal, like a rehabbed sex addict watching porn.

  65. Lauren D. October 16, 2012 at 10:06 am #

Welp, this makes my life a heck of a lot easier…I JUST STARTED my cleanse today! No joke! My husband thinks I’m a total loon, but now maybe if I tell him my “friend” Chrissy is doing one too he’ll think it’s more normal haha. And yes, we talk about you as if you are my actual friend. I have been going NUTS on the food/beer/wine and overindulging in every single bit of it – football season tends to lend itself to throngs of our old college friends planting in front of the tv at our house – which is a blast!! And also brings with it, oh I don’t know, home made potato skins, fried chicken, buffalo wings, nachos and cheese, cheese, cheese….so while I was wary at first (but…but, there’s no FOOD!) I’m on board with taking a “time out” so to speak and getting myself sorted out before I am too far gone down the path of “oh dear god why don’t any of my pants fit!?” Thanks for letting us know that even models have to work at this shit. And thanks for being hilarious about it! :-)

Do what you need to do, Chrissy! I’m sure most people would be doing the same thing if they were in your line of work. You are amazing, and you inspired me to start cooking, and you introduced me to the Pioneer Woman! Good luck!

You are hysterical and I love it. My sister and I always talk about doing the Blue Print Cleanse, if only it were in my budget :) I might really look into it. We love the taste of green juices, not gunna lie! Thanksgiving will be here soon and then you can feast away, there is always another juice cleanse:)

I feel so sorry for you Chrissy, this post made me feel so sad.

  73. Ashley October 16, 2012 at 5:58 pm #

I’ve been reading your blog for months now but have never commented. You are hilarious and I love your honesty about this. I kind of hate the idea of cleanses, but I’d probably resort to one, too, if I had to get photographed almost-naked.

  74. Jacqueline Manansang October 16, 2012 at 10:50 pm #

this is the first time i’m reading your blog, because one of my readers sent me here following my post on doing the blueprint cleanse (i just ordered it and only posted asking people whether i should do it) and shit, i’m glad she did! this is exactly the way i feel about the whole thing. i may not be a CAREER model, but i am one in my head, so thank you for this. now i’m off to read every other entry you’ve posted ever of all time. kthanksbai

  76. Nora October 17, 2012 at 1:20 pm #

Dude anyone who tries to act like they do juice diets for any reason other than to lose weight is fucking lying or maaaaaybe just delusional. I’m a lot like you (um minus the model part) – all the way or none at all. Case in point: http://www.noraleah.com/post/24543229178/a-day-in-the-life

I do juice diets (refuse to call them ‘cleanses’) or Tracy Anderson’s baby food diet every once and awhile and I’m first to admit it’s cause I’m vain. I’d rather indulge and then pull all the way back than have to be constantly vigilant, ya know?

    Keep it up, badass. xx

  77. Amy October 17, 2012 at 1:47 pm #

I love your blog, and the amazing recipes that come with the hilarious banter. These posts about life and stuff girls go through are sometimes just what I need though.
You are super mega rad, and more power to you for doing what you wanna do regardless of the naysayers!
    Absolutely Ispirational!!!

  78. Jessy October 19, 2012 at 2:30 pm #

Hey Christie, I love your blog and your honesty, but I was wondering why you model in the first place? Do you enjoy it so much that it’s worth such deprivation? I don’t know, I guess I thought you’d try to make a career more in the food industry, considering you seem to love this, like having a cooking tv show, writing a food blog or something like that.

  79. Sara October 22, 2012 at 10:17 pm #

I have the same logic…..of course my plan always begins super ambitiously as a 10 day juice diet (ok that’s a lie…5 day juice diet). And then I justify the shit out of a 3 day juice diet. All the while justifying eating raw veggies, plain salads, almonds and last but CERTAINLY not least wine throughout all 3 torturous days. So turns out, I really don’t do juice diets at all I guess!

Reblogged this on ksbingham and commented:
She is fantastic and her review of what I’ve been trying to tell everyone is spot on!

There are worst things for the body and worst ways to lose weight. Juice cleansing is not one of them. People who diss it are usually afraid or jealous. you’re eating/drinking real foods as opposed to bars or chemically diet stuff, who cares.

  82. Jennifer October 30, 2012 at 7:21 pm #

    You can DOOOEEET!!!

    P.S. I heart your blog! It’s hilar :)

I appreciate how honest you are about what you REALLY do to cleanse and lose weight. I love food too and love to cook but I have to limit the carbs (all grains really) because it was also starting to affect my health. Good luck with your cleansing. Love your blog and tweets!

Hi, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar
one and i was just wondering if you get a lot of spam feedback?
If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can suggest?

  88. Hello would you mind letting me know which web host you’re working with? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 completely different internet browsers and I must say
this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you
suggest a good internet hosting provider at a honest price?
    Cheers, I appreciate it!

Chrissy, I am a first time reader of your blog and I must confess, I thoroughly enjoyed reading every word. You are refreshingly honest about your take on life and food, which I appreciate. Typically I do not comment on such things; however, I could not deny sharing with you how you very much hit the nail on the head with your self description of your TSA screening. I am tiny as can be with my 5’7″ frame, but being married to a Chef can sure make you love eating than ever before in life. Thank you for sharing with the world your confidence and beauty. It makes me appreciate my new subtle curves. :)

The one downside of this though is that dark chocolate is quite bitter without
the sugar content, and so one variation to this recipe if you do choose to go down this route is that you should also add in
two tablespoons of a sugar free substitute into the main ingredients
of the Sugar Free Chocolate Smoothie in order for it to taste
good. Green smoothies are a healthy raw food option in contrast to the processed food items that are filled with harmful chemicals, sodium and other dangerous preservatives.
cup frozen strawberries, and one scoop vanilla protein powder in a blender and blend until smooth and frosty.
